The Struts are a straight up British Rock N Roll band from Derby, England who now call Los Angeles home. If you think Queen/Freddie Mercury or Rolling Stones/Mick Jagger when first hearing and seeing the band, you will not be alone. Formed in 2010, the four-piece (Luke Spiller – Lead Vocals, Adam Slack – Guitar, Jed Elliott – Bass, and Gethin Davies – Drums) cut their teeth touring the UK and France, opening for artists like McFly and Catfish and the Bottlemen.
Their latest EP Have You Heard (Interscope) featuring Could Have Been Me has been strongly promoted to radio (including high tea meet-and-greets) and garnered press from outlets such as MTV.com, USA Today, and the Chicago Sun-Times. The group has even bagged a couple of rock band bucket list items: opening for the Rolling Stones (in Paris no less) and performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Led by Luke Spiller’s hands-on approach to his on stage costumes, reminiscent of classic British glam-rock looks, the band has also made connections to the fashion world with their performance at John Varvatos’ Bowery Live event for New York Fashion Week (their first show in the United States!) and sync placement for European retailer Primark.
After playing summer festivals in Europe including Reading, Isle of Wight, and Download, the band appeared at Made in America 2015 and toured clubs as headliner with Highly Suspect. They will continue touring U.S. clubs through the fall and then play some holiday radio shows in December.
