Emerging Artist

North Las Vegas R&B singer JR Castro is a Big Mover up 20 to #14 on this week’s Emerging Artists chart. Signed to Global Entertainment his debut single Get Home (Get Right) is produced by DJ Mustard, features Kid Ink and Quavo of Migos, and is Top 20 at Rhythmic radio and gaining spins at Urban. Good start, right? Yes, but let’s just wait and see what happens when the track FMN, produced by hit maker Timbaland, drops. There is also a new mixtape anticipated to hit streets in January, executive produced by Timbo, so there will be no shortage of material for fans to discover. We could be looking at a “graduation” from the chart before Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction plays out.
