Emerging Artist

This week’s artist, Madeintyo (#11) is going to move fast. After six years in Tokyo (the name is short for “Made in Tokyo”) the Atlanta native returned home after high school and began to add his flavor to the already sizzling scene. He joined Private Club, an art collective founded by his brother, Royce Rizzy, which gave him a platform to release his tracks and videos.

He’s got a few cuts out that are doing well online, but it is the K. Swisher-produced Uber Everywhere, recorded in his mom’s kitchen on a lark, that is catching on quickly. I Want is also getting attention and hints at the odd angle from which he’s approaching the rap game. Some famous heads have already done freestyles over the Uber Everywhere track including Travi$ Scott, Tory Lanez, and Soulja Boy. With touring plans and no urgency to sign the major label deal, 2016 should be fun to watch with Madeintyo running around in it.
