Emerging Artist

We wonder if Illinois singer-songwriter Kiiara (Debut #22) has quit her day job at a hardware store by now; thinking “yes.” Signed to Atlantic records and with vocals being compared to the likes of Ellie Goulding and Lorde, her track Gold has been getting much love online for a while now. Produced by Felix Snow it now has a video that is gaining plays and pointing new fans to her debut low kii savage Jia Tolentino of Jezebel.com described Gold as “a bit like FKA Twigs crossed with Kate Boy, an intersection I wasn’t expecting and is welcome anytime.” Agreed. She fits right in with other up and coming artists that have been on our radar lately like Marian Hill, Made in Heights, and Kanye West protégé Kacy Hill. Kiiara is currently on tour with AlunaGeorge and will be appearing at Lollapalooza.
