Emerging Artist

We have been experiencing a surge for the Country genre lately, and the Emerging Artists chart shows no exception. William Michael Morgan moves up 5 to #10 this week as his song, I Met a Girl, which interestingly was co-written by Sam Hunt, goes Top 20 at Country radio.

Signed to Warner Bros. Nashville at age 19, the Mississippi native took to the likes of Marty Robbins, Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, and George Jones at an early age. He quickly burgeoned playing as many gigs as he could with his band while a teenager.

Morgan continues to take his “hat country” directly to the fans, touring through the end of the summer, and we’re likely to see a follow-up single from his debut EP.
